Enrollment
Our program has morning enrichment classes starting at 9:00 a.m. and ending at 12:00 p.m., with classes running from September to June. We offer MWF, TTh or M-F programs, whatever fits your family needs. The program is designed for children 2-5 years of age. Admission requirements are a physician’s report and immunization record. Children are enrolled any time space is available in a class.
We also have a Pre-K program which is designed to introduce the child to some necessary skills that will help him or her be better prepared for kindergarten. This class is designed for the child who is already 5 or will soon be 5 years old but needs the “gift of extra time” before kindergarten. The class begins at 12:30 p.m. and ends at 3:00 p.m.
Philosophy
In partnership with parents, we provide a Christian environment in which a child may grow, spiritually, socially, physically and intellectually.
It is our purpose to develop the character of the children through Bible stories, daily prayer, Christian concepts and love. We desire for the young children to grow in their spiritual understanding of the Christian faith.
About Our School
Lake Murray Christian Preschool is a non-profit organization which operates on a non-discriminatory basis, without regard to race, color or religion. We are licensed by the State of California.
Our staff has many years of education and experience in Early Childhood Development. They are committed Christians with a love and concern for young children.
They regularly attend in-service workshops and conferences in the field of child development education. The staff is trained in Child CPR and First Aid.
Curriculum
Our curriculum is centered around weekly themes including the Bible. The lessons encourage children to foster creativity, problem solving, spiritual growth, social and verbal skills, as well as appreciation for art, music and literature. The indoor and outdoor environments are carefully planned to encourage choices and to foster self-esteem. A wide range of age appropriate activities are planned throughout the year.
